Job Description
SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Regional Information Office Manager (RIOM) for a full-time position supporting our United States Government (USG) customer. The RIO Managers shall be the liaison between customer operations, the Mobile Information Teams (MITs), and other military organizations, as required. This position will report to the Mobile Information Team Coordinator.
Essential Job Duties:
• Manages the Regional Information Office (RIO) daily operations of MITs through Afghan Advisors
• Responsible for gathering, consolidating and delivering information in support of client needs
• Manage customer / leadership expectations and should be able to produce and deliver executive-level reports and briefings on daily, weekly and monthly basis depending on customer’s needs
• Supports the effective management of all resources and schedules, planning, budgeting, deliverables and subcontractors to ensure successful performance
• Plans, develops, de-conflicts, and synchronizes regional program needs and requirements for input to the Operations Manager
• Maintain accountability of personnel and equipment
Minimum Requirements
• US citizenship with a valid, active DOD SECRET clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree highly desired
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with the U.S. military working media production
• Current or previous support to the USCENTCOM AOR desired
• The ability to function effectively during heightened threat levels and extended periods of high stress and physical danger and discomfort
• Organize and properly prioritize work assignments and function well in an environment that requires constant multi-tasking – and often long hours
• Excellent written, oral, briefing, interpersonal and technical skills
• Live and work daily with military customer in austere conditions across Afghanistan
• Function effectively and efficiently in a combat zone, during extended periods of high pressure and stress
• Ability to wear up to 45 lbs of combat gear, including vest and helmet
• Travel outside secure compounds independent of military customer, as required to perform duties
• Previous operational experience working with host nation translators and media
