Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides depot and field level field engineering and maintenance support to intelligence and electronic warfare systems, training and technical advice to technical personnel assigned to perform Electronic Maintenance. Provides specialized technical support within Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) to accommodate fielding of Intelligence Electronic Warfare (IEW) systems, communications equipment, and human intelligence support equipment.
Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains communications equipment to Army and DOD standards.
Performs quality and safety reviews of equipment installation practices.
Performs hardware installations, builds specialized cabling, and installs network hardware.
Prepares and maintains equipment and configuration documentation, and performs physical configuration audits.
Supports US Army systems on site whenever and wherever deployed. Available to deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reaction technical support to US forces worldwide military contingency missions and requirements in potentially hazardous work environments.
Required Qualifications:Able to maneuver in small spaces and lift up to 50lbs.
Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience. Technical trade school or military training preferred.
The capability to fault isolate, repair and test complex level problems.
Knowledge of Alternating Current / Direct Current (AC/DC) power, grounding and electronic equipment heating/cooling requirements.
Experience in quality assurance practices. Familiar with Built in Test Equipment (BITE) and Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
Knowledge of audio distribution systems, Electromagnetic Interference/Radio Interference (EMI/RFI) analysis and mitigation, experience in ip-based systems of Unix/Solaris software.
Knowledge of satellite communications systems and telecommunications equipment.
US Citizenship and a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) indoctrination.
Security +CE certification
Desired Qualifications:
Technical experience in the maintenance and repair of complex electronic communications equipment. Experience in RF and electronic systems to include antennas, preamplifiers, cables, receivers, demodulators, converters, servo-systems, computers, printers, recorders, analog and digital displays, input/output devices, lans, and test equipment. Three years experience in analyses and installation of computer based systems, local area networks, and fiber optic cable. Valid Passport.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, visio and other utilities and Internet applications.
