Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for designing, installing, maintaining and supporting LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures. Provide high-level technical support for voice and data network systems, creates and maintains network documentation, maintains hardware and software standards, and works projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures.

Provide Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 network support for a complex enterprise WAN and LAN network. Troubleshoot and identify sources of problems and resolve issues, monitor and resolve service requests in accordance with published SLAs.

Review and assist in the creation of desktop management policies and procedures for an enterprise and assist in establishing and enforce best practice processes for network management, including configurations, monitoring, patch management and security.

Provide client consulting and training on the interfacing and use of the network facilities. Creates plans and does research, evaluate, and recommend new computer network equipment and technologies. Utilize monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance, and trace data and protocol activity. Develops solutions to moderately complex operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment.

Monitor, analyzes, troubleshoots and/or evaluates hardware, software, and other network related problems. Work in integration of a total network including the planning, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the corporate network. Perform general network administration tasks as required. Implement improvements to existing network architecture, and network Management systems based on guidance from senior level engineers.

Analyze performance and tunes Network Monitoring systems to collect appropriate status. Conduct research and evaluation of products in support of network needs. Coordinate with all responsible users and sites.


Maintain current of technological developments and applications. Helps to evaluate vendor products to make recommendations for purchase. Participates in providing network design solutions for existing organizational/client needs.

Provide skilled technical assistance (LAN, WAN, Intranet, and Internet) in network planning, engineering, security, and architecture. Follows technical standards set by senior level engineers.
Required Qualifications:

Shall be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems.

Must have experience performing problem isolation and resolution.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience.
