Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day end users of tactical satellite systems to include but not limited to SNAP, SWAN, ISA, and WPPL.
Install, operate and maintain Tactical VSAT maintain the SIPR/NIPR Access Point (SNAP) terminal. Operate and maintain the LINKWAY® Master Reference Terminal (MRT)/Network Controller.Configure Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) network for Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN).
Operate and maintain the WPPL B and D systems.
Configure and integrate COMSEC equipment i.e. KG -175D, KG-175 Classic, KG-250X and KG-175E into all tactical SATCOM systems; maintain telecommunication installation supplies, maintain daily on-hand inventories.
Provide training on tactical SATCOM equipment when required.
Required Qualifications:
Must be able to collaborate with customer/company and colleagues, and other resources to gain a better understanding of the issue(s) to be resolved. Effectively manage time to respond to service calls in a timely fashion. Complete basic installations and perform system test procedures.
Must be able to perform smaller scale (move, adds, or changes of client’s) equipment as needed. Assists with preparation for on-site installations by reviewing site requirements. Obtains software and assists with the review of relevant documentation prior to visiting customer sites.
Must be able to assist team with the implementation of software and hardware solutions; integrating with the customer’s network and equipment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and zero to two years of related experience.
