Maintenance Mechanic Foreman

To be Considered Candidates: Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located and be able to interview on site.

Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description Under general supervision, handles all aspects of servicing equipment, including loading/unloading, diagnosing repair needs, ordering parts and repairing Light Motor Vehicles or Construction Equipment in the shop or on field calls.


Operates as the supervisor of a crew with minimal supervision and may assist in training other equipment technicians. Performs major (non-routine) service repairs to Light Motor Vehicles or Construction Equipment either in the repair shop or field location. Safely loads and unloads vehicles for transporting.


Completes necessary paperwork, including work orders, parts orders, inspection reports and warranty claims.


Ensures all aspects of safety are addressed and the work area is in compliance with all designated standards.


Assists other technicians in advanced trouble shooting training and problem resolution. Serves as team leader in major assembly/disassembly and repairs.


Communicates with customers concerning repair and service needs.

Basic Job Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent and 5 years directly related experience required.

Other Job Requirements Demonstrates proficiency in the use of PC-based business applications. Extremely knowledgeable in equipment and vehicle, application and design functionality and problem diagnostics.


General knowledge of electrical, air condition systems, gasoline and diesel engines, drive train, electronic control systems and schematics and diagrams.


Knowledge, operation, and application of diagnostic equipment such as volt ohm meter, pressure gauge electronic control scanner, etc.


Thorough knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, pneumatic systems and schematics, drive train and diesel/gasoline engines.


Can operate most light construction equipment safely for movement in & out of the shop and around the yard.


Physically able to squat, stoop, bend, climb, lie on back, lift and pull, reach up and out. Lift 70 lbs., carry 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred.
