(AFG) Warehouse Manager


Overview:

Responsibilities:


DUTIES:



  • Managing NIU Facility Maintenance and Logistics Warehouse, reports directly to Logistics Manager




  • Create purchase request in Cost Point for government furnished equipment, property, and any items that reach the re-order point on hand stock replenishment of consumable materials




  • Keeping stock control systems up to date, planning future capacity requirements, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods. Generate appropriate hand receipt




  • Manage updates in Maximo on new acquisition assets or material requirement in the system




  • Conduct a 100% monthly inventory for consumables items, adjust inventory with accuracy and integrity. Ensure inventories are conducted on a monthly/quarterly requirement in accordance with current policy and procedures




  • Reconcile inventory adjustments as required to ensure 100% accountability of warehouse storage locations. Maintain accurate, current, complete, and auditable records for accountability of property




  • Ensure property records reasonably reflect property transactions and dispositions




  • Ensure that workplace’s health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and warehouse stock




  • Promote constant motivation among staff to strive for an efficient and effective warehouse administration




  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel




  • Knowledge of Maximo and Cost Point Database




  • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications:


Qualifications



o At least 4 years of progressive experience, including small staff management, in a high volume, receiving/inventory or supply management environment


o Must have strong organizational skills, be analytical, and have a high capacity for attention to detail


o Must have an experience in inventory control and materials planning, including experience in tracking and replenishing bulk inventories


o Knowledge of computerized inventory and purchasing systems is required


o Knowledge of hazardous waste management procedures


o Must be able to manage workloads effectively including adapting to changes, planning, organizing and prioritizing work


o Must be able to work effectively under stress and pressure


o Must be able to research, analyze and evaluate information and make good decisions based on inventory and purchasing data


o Knowledge of computer software including spreadsheets and word processing is required


o Proficient with Maximo Asset and Inventory Management modules


o Familiar with CostPoint database in receiving assets


o Familiar with FAR 52 and 45 Government Property Clauses


o Must be able to work effectively in a diverse workforce
REQUIRED:



Education: Associate’s Degree required. Logistics diploma/certificate/training is highly preferred



Security Vetting:Must successfully obtain a MRPT. Must maintain eligibility at the required security level for the duration of the contract



Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English – both orally and in writing – with all levels of employees and vendors



Citizenship: US Citizenship is NOT required for this position



Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination



Driver’s License:Valid Driver’s License from Home of Record (HOR)


Clearance Requirement: US citizenship not required, must successfully complete a MRPT.
