(AFG-KANDAHAR) Logistics Coordinator Sr
Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator Sr. plans, develops and executes logistic program activities from conceptual stage through life cycle of product. Develops and implements logistics program activities including ILS, technical documentation, RAM, provisioning, etc.
Principal Accountabilities
- Coordinate efforts of subcontractors and field service personnel; resolves logistics problems; and compiles data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistic activities.
- Carry out instructions from Logistics Supervisor/Manager and mentor a small team of subordinate coordinators to best support operations and maintenance requirements.
- Pursue the optimal source of supply that considers lead times, cost avoidance, and government acquisition requirements as well as ensuring supply visibility from initial request to point of customer receipt.
- Fully research and promptly respond to customer issues.
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
- Innovative, strong analytical skills with ability to analyze situations and effect proper courses of action without additional guidance.
- Excellent data entry skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software with strong knowledge of databases and spreadsheets.
- Excellent knowledge of logistics, supply principles, and supply chain management to include automated systems
- Strong team-building, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Experience & Education
- Eight (8) or more years of experience in automated supply chain management and tracking deliverables in a US military contingency environment.
- Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) certificate preferred.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
- Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
- Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
Travel
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
