(AFG-KANDAHAR) LG4 Bus Driver

Job Summary

The* Bus Driver* drives a bus to transport passengers.

Principal Accountabilities

• Transport passengers to and from the flight line


• Ensure compliance with applicable governing polices and regulations


• Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment


• Report incident or accidents as they occur


• Receive and follow directions and instructions from dispatcher


• Maintain cleanliness of bus


• Perform daily maintenance checks


• Complete all required mission logs such as vehicle inspection log and personnel accountability logs


• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of manual transmission buses and air brakes


• Ability to understand and adhere to air field rules, regulation, and flight line marking


• Ability to understand direction and speak clearly via hand held radio


• Proficient in Microsoft Office software

Experience & Education

• Minimum three (3) years of over-the-road experience with manual transmission including at least two (2) years of transporting passengers


• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Possess and maintain a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) heavy license, Class A or B Commercial Driver License (CDL) with passenger endorsement, European Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) license, or equivalent with a good driving record

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

• Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable


• Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions


• Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions

Travel

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
