(AFG-KANDAHAR) LG4 Bus Driver
Job Summary
The* Bus Driver* drives a bus to transport passengers.
Principal Accountabilities
- Transport passengers to and from the flight line
- Ensure compliance with applicable governing polices and regulations
- Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment
- Report incident or accidents as they occur
- Receive and follow directions and instructions from dispatcher
- Maintain cleanliness of bus
- Perform daily maintenance checks
- Complete all required mission logs such as vehicle inspection log and personnel accountability logs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of manual transmission buses and air brakes
- Ability to understand and adhere to air field rules, regulation, and flight line marking
- Ability to understand direction and speak clearly via hand held radio
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Experience & Education
- Minimum three (3) years of over-the-road experience with manual transmission including at least two (2) years of transporting passengers
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Possess and maintain a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) heavy license, Class A or B Commercial Driver License (CDL) with passenger endorsement, European Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) license, or equivalent with a good driving record
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
- Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
- Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
Travel
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
