DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide day-to-day quality compliance and management of aircraft maintenance operations in accordance with FAA, local and company regulations and rules, Original Equipment Manufacturer Service and Technical Publications and applicable US Air Force instructions.
- Inspect, and monitor the work of the technicians carrying out functional tests, inspections, maintenance, repairs, and servicing of the Airframe and power plant assemblies and avionics.
- Provide aircraft forms and other applicable documentation / information related to the maintenance and operation of the aircraft, to supervisor upon request.
- Interpret flight discrepancies and inspection findings to determine cause and corrective action.
- Certify that the work performed on the aircraft at all times is in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer service and technical publications.
- Performance of inspections on aircraft and aircraft components
- Administer employee training program, ensures all assigned personnel receive minimum required training consistent with duties
- Administers the company’s Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention and tool control programs and ensures compliance
- Administers the company’s Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) and hazardous waste disposal programs and ensures compliance
- Detects trends and identifies areas requiring improvement
- Trains and assists Afghan Air Force (AAF) members as required
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and abilities are required:
* High school diploma or equivalent Military / Technical Hands-on training with at least ten (10) years overall experience with aircraft maintenance, with five (5) years of working experience as A&P or Avionics on the Cessna 208 or similar aircraft preferred
* FAA Licensed as Airframe &Power plant Mechanics or Avionics Technician.
* Knowledge of hydraulic, and mechanical, electric and electronic theory that applies to the aircraft and their various flight systems; principles of aircraft flight characteristics; avionics interface and associated electrical equipment; principles of digital and analog computers and computer programming, aircraft maintenance procedures, interpretation of blueprints, logic, block, and schematic diagrams, service and technical manuals is mandatory.
* Experience in working with DOD agencies and foreign military services.
* Three or more years of recent hands on avionics experience.(preferred)
* Results-driven with strong focus on delivering significant quality benefits.
* High-achieving and ambitious self-starter with a track record of successful accomplishments in training operations.
* Must have an in-depth knowledge (aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards) of flight line operations.
* Deep Knowledge of aeronautical standards.and inspection techniques to ensure aircraft airworthiness
* Thorough knowledge of FAA inspection, maintenance, modification, repair, and servicing requirements for the C-208/Cessna Caravan aircraft
* Ability to: isolate and troubleshoot airframe, , power plant and other Aircraft systems discrepancies.
* Knowledge of safety regulations mandated by FAA.
* Knowledge and safe use of appropriate chemicals, compressed air, hand tools, high pressure gases, lubricants and petroleum products.
* Ability to read, speak, and write English professionally is mandatory.
* Educated and experienced to work on Airframe, Avionics, Environmental, Flight Controls, Fuel, Pneumatics (bleed air), Powerplant, and Structures.
* Knowledgeable and proficient in using Technical publications relating to work responsibilities.
* Certified and experienced to operate aircraft engines, calculate engine performance, and perform operational check.s
* Knowledgeable and experienced in airframe and power plant support equipment, powered and non-powered aerospace ground equipment, test equipment.
* Must be able to pass a background investigation.
* Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
* Must possess a US Passport with the ability to obtain a Work Visa for Afghanistan.
* Subject to drug and alcohol testing.
* Position Contingent on Contract Award.

- Ability to work an 84 hour work week (7 days per week, 12 hours per day).
