Job Description Responsible for supervising and coordinating site operations, departments, services and activities within assigned AOR. typically for a small / midsize FOB or a section of a larger FOB. Supervises site operations in a manner that ensures compliance with applicable contractual, statutory and procedural requirements. Coordinates and schedules activities of all departments to ensure that support services are provided on a timely basis. Evaluates, develops and delivers the level of functional support services necessary to execute required scopes of work and meet client requirements. Reports the operational status of the assigned organization to management. Investigates technical and construction-related problems to determine their cause and recommends resolution. Provides technical and functional assistance and support to projects. Directs the effective operation of site functions and services; develops and implements improvement initiatives as needed. Responsible for the financial performance of all site operations; consistently monitors project financials, reports key metrics and takes prompt, effective corrective action to ensure the achievement of site financial objectives. Coordinates site operations and activities with other locations, military contacts and regional management. Directs planning and scheduling activities for site operations. Establishes site practices and procedures as appropriate.


SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Supervises a team of employees, subcontractor and/or labor broker personnel, in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.


This Job Description represents a summary of the generic job duties and qualifications for this position and shall not be construed as a complete listing of all tasks, as other duties may be assigned. Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, including lifting and carrying 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure safety, health, and security measures within the contract are met, all employees shall be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).

Basic Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and 8 years directly related experience is required. Security clearance required.

Other Job Requirements Good leadership, management and communications skills. Solid computer skills, including a proficiency with the full Microsoft Office application suite, scheduling tools and database management systems. Experience managing construction, operations & maintenance, public works and/or related operations on small to moderate-sized projects is required. Comprehensive knowledge of the concepts, methods, standards and practices of these operations is required.

Preferred Qualifications Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred.
