Position Summary
The Windows Software Integrator works with integrating COTS and GOTS software into the Windows environment. The software integrator must work to understand customer needs and configure computer systems to meet customer needs while working within system constraints and security requirements to maintain and update a military C4ISR networked client server computer system. The Windows Software Integrator must be able to troubleshoot and debug the computer system to maintain inter-operability with the various computer software applications and the operating system in a virtual machine client server environment.

Primary Job Functions

• Determines usable software configurations based on customer requirements within system constraints.
  


• Loads computer systems with application updates and patches while maintaining system operability
  


• Writes software scripts to manage and test configuration loads
  


• Establishes and maintains software builds and build markers
  


• Conducts testing and debugging to identify problems within a complex software load.
  


• Establishes evaluation and test criteria and processes based on stakeholder requirements
  


• Reviews and provides feedback for process improvement to process owners
  


• Plans elements of complex C4ISR systems projects that includes both hardware and software configuration and network integration.
  


• Provides expertise with configuration tools and operating system frameworks
  


• Provides critical support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
  


• Participate in regular meetings, teleconferences and workgroups; provide professional technical input and assessments
  


• Provide data for daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
  

Specific Tasks

• Works with team members in gathering requirements pertaining to the constraints, standards, and operational requirements from all the stakeholders of a program. Works with team members in identifying and understanding system capabilities (e.g., operational, functional). Works with team members in quantifying and reviewing performance requirements to determine internal consistency and feasibility and to ensure customer needs are met. Participates in independent reviews of program requirements to ensure all requirements are met.
  


• Works with team members to effectively troubleshoot and solve difficult multi-system problems. Applies knowledge and experience to quickly identify root causes and resolve key issues.
  

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

• Technical degree in Math, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering, or any combination of degree plus business experience
  


• Experience in systems/software development and integration, to include at least one of the following: Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation in support of complex system requirements.
  


• Experience working with DoD or the Navy’s TacMobile program or partner programs is highly preferred.
  


• Candidates must have received or be working towards the following certifications within one and a half year after assuming duties: Security+ Certification
  


• Experience with VMWare EXSi in a Virtual Machine environment is highly preferred
  


• Candidate should have experience with one or more of the following:

  • Powershell
    
  
  


• This position also requires the ability to do complex multi-tasking and have an advanced level of organizational skills. Must have advanced problem solving skills. This position requires highly advanced communications skills, both oral and written, as the position may deal with customers, internal peers, managers.
