(AFG-KABUL) Production Control Coordinator
Job Summary
Production Control Coordinator works closely with MOD maintenance personnel on the documentation, scheduling and prioritization of inspections, repairs and overhauls of aircraft and associated components.
Principle Accountabilities
Ensures that all work is done according to prescribed maintenance manuals, service bulletins, company policy, and government regulation.
Reports on aircraft operational readiness rates (OR) and Maintenance production schedule to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Ensures productivity and aircraft flying hours are being utilized to efficiently control the flow of aircraft into major maintenance inspections.
Ensures critical data is posted and tracked on the DynMRO or other customer mandated data system.
Assigns maintenance priorities and personnel to assist other mechanics and sections as required.
Establishes work and production schedules to meet the mission requirements.
Conducts Host Nation counterpart training if required.
Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
NACI within the last 10 years required.
Ability to communicate fluently in the English language. Able to communicate effectively and work well as a member of a team.
Works to help meet a minimum 80% Fleet Operational Readiness Rate.
Conducts oneself professionally through appearance and conduct.
Basic knowledge of various computer applications such as Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook).
Experience & Education
High School Diploma
Associates Degree preferred
FAA, A&P; license preferred
Must have experience in a lead/supervisor role.
Minimum of 10 years maintenance experience with at least 3 years in Production Control in fixed and/or rotary wing maintenance.
1 year full time field service in the last 3 years preferred.
1 year experience in either the OEF or OIF theatres of operations preferred.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Location of duty is Afghanistan.
Living conditions may be cramped and substandard compared to western (US) standards.
May be required to perform duties at remote and austere locations.
Must be able to withstand extreme temperatures and environments while working in field conditions.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 30 pounds to shoulder height.
