Equipment Maintenance Technician (OCONUS - Global) - AECOM - United States

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Equipment Maintenance Technician for immediate employment for a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Operations & Maintenance (O&M) support contract. This contract will be responsible for infrastructure O&M, including:

Catering and Food Services


Laundry and Cleaning Services


Billeting and Furniture Services


Power Generation and Distribution


Pest and Vector Control


Water Production and Distribution


Sewage and Waste Collection and Disposal


Locations of deployment will vary depending on contract need. Destinations include both NATO member and non-member nations, including: Iraq, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Ukraine, Georgia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, among others. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:


Provide operation, maintenance, repair, and replacement services of various equipment and utilities, including electrical, maintenance, HVAC, waste, laundry, food, power, and pest/vector control equipment


Perform various facility maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, equipment operation and repair, building and grounds maintenance and repair, plumbing services, electrical maintenance, welding, painting, and water distribution


Other duties as assigned


This position is contingent upon award of contract.


Minimum Requirements


3+ years of previous experience as an Equipment Maintenance Technician (or similar role), in support of military operations in a deployed environment, providing general facility and utility maintenance


High School Diploma or equivalent education


Familiarization with, and ability to repair, operate, and maintain various types of equipment


Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language


Must possess or be able to obtain, at minimum, a SECRET Level clearance


Valid driver’s license required


Strong oral and written communication skills


Must pass medical requirements testing and substance abuse test


Willing to live and work in austere conditions in a military contingency environment


Preferred Qualifications


Previous experience working in an Equipment Maintenance Technician (or related) role for NATO (or related) contracts


Successful completion of any maintenance/repair or related certification, training, or educational programs
