Vehicle Fleet Specialist


Overview:


Vehicle Fleet Specialist The Bridge Afghanistan Security (BAS) contract is seeking an individual to be based in our Kabul, Afghanistan office and to serve as the Vehicle Fleet Specialist reporting directly to our Logistics Supervisor. PAE is currently contracted with the U.S. Department of State (DoS) to provide security services to the three PAE held Afghan contracts. The DoS Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is responsible for provision of a wide array of support to criminal justice sector development programs worldwide. PAE’s contracts serve as a key vehicle for supporting the US government objective of strengthening criminal justice capacities abroad, as contributions to broader multi-lateral missions and as stand-alone U.S. bi-lateral assistance. The Security program provides mobile and static physical security to these essential programs.


Responsibilities:


Responsibilities: – Maintain vehicle fleet. – Coordinate with management regarding vehicle operations. – Arrange all preventative maintenance with vehicle repair vendors. – Maintain all vehicle equipment. – Create purchase requisitions for all vehicle related subcontracts, services, and equipment. – Assist Logistics staff in general duties. – Other duties as required.


Qualifications:


Required Qualifications: – Ability to possess/maintain MRPT certification. – In possession of a current and valid driving license. – Minimum of three years experience as a Vehicle Fleet Maintenance/Management Officer of at least 20 vehicles in support of an operational mission. – Demonstrated experience implementing effective procedures to maintain accountability of personnel, vehicles, equipment, and supplies. – Knowledge of principles, practices, tools, materials, equipment, and techniques required for maintaining and repairing a variety of makes and models of vehicles, including armored vehicles. – Knowledge of safety equipment and safety practices related to vehicle use and maintenance. – Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex situations. – Strong interpersonal skills; proven ability to work well with others. Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently to achieve the desired end state. – Excellent oral and written English communication skills. – Proficient with basic MS Office computer programs; able to organize, analyze, prepare, and present information to a variety of audiences.
