PAE is currently seeking an Inventory/Warehouse Assistant Manager to support the US Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Responsibilities:
Performance Location: The individual filling this position will be supporting PAE on a contract for the US Department of State and working at the US Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan. Periodic travel with extended overnight stays may be required while working on projects at other locations in Afghanistan. Percentage of travel will vary significantly but on average is expected to be less than 10% of the total time. The Inventory/Warehouse Assistant Manager will: – Person will assist the Inventory/Warehouse Manager with following duties and responsibilities. – Performs a wide variety of supply functions: Ordering, receiving, inventory control and stocking shelves, stores and issues equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, tools and compiles stock records of items in the stockroom, warehouse or storage yard. – Counts, sorts or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice. Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications. – Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock. – Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustment to inventory counts and stock records, spoilage or damage to stock, location changes. – Marks identifying codes, figures or letters on articles. – Recording and maintaining control of all inventory items purchased and produced. – Review all incoming and outgoing receipts to ensure compliance with established processes and procedures. – Inputs and transfers parts to multiple locations using Dynamics and Maximo. – May assist with packing shipments for field technician orders. – Assist with stock put-away – Identification of parts or stock distribution to technical departments. – During the Inventory/Warehouse Manager’s absences from post will perform as the Acting Manager. – Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
– – Inventory training or technical certification is a plus. – 3 to 5 years’ experience in inventory, distribution and operational procedures. – Product receiving experience a plus. – Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and follow up reporting. – Demonstrated leadership and people skills. – Solid understanding of distribution environments. – Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. – Dynamic and Maximo experience a plus. Education: – Bachelor’s degree preferred. – Inventory training or technical certification is a plus. Language Requirement: – Must be fluent in speaking, reading and writing English. – Must have excellent oral and written communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with employees, management and the client.
