Description :
Be a part of the Army’s leader for IT acquisition services supporting diverse operational and enterprise business functions including communications, and enterprise services for Project Lead Network Enablers. From the laboratory bench in Aberdeen to the mountains of Afghanistan, this project supports every soldier, every day, everywhere.
Under very general direction, works from specifications to develop or modify complex systems platforms to enhance legacy and software defined radio network configuration tool kits. May give some guidance to less experienced systems
engineers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Investigates and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
Identifies system requirements for operations and security, and works with other engineers and staff to develop designs and integrate components.
Performs system designs, developments and product verification testing on software, hardware, and equipment.
Develops the operations, management, integration & security requirements.
Develops and documents system architecture, including relevant user cases.
Develops security procedures for design reviews, and for operational monitoring, recording, and responding to security events.
Develops verification plans based on requirements and architecture documents.
Defines operations, security and integration tool requirements to allow users to evaluate and analyze their network resources for performance and scalability in test-bed and modeled environments.Packages and engineers releases to integrate with the company’s operating systems.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts. May review the work of others and be able to detect errors or needed modifications.
Required Qualifications:
Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and two to four years of related work experience.
Good communication skills, experience with Symantec Ghost, Windows 7 32/64-bit deployment, Windows Automated Installation Toolkit and Windows Deployment Toolkit, Hardware/Software Configuration Management, Patch management in a Windows environment, Hardware troubleshooting processes, Software troubleshooting processes, Creating System Management/Deployment Documentation, Software defined Radios, Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio, Automated Communications Engineering Software, Simple Key Loader, Software defined radio configuration application suites, Tactical Internet Management Suite/Joint Capabilities Release, Tactical Internet Management Suite/Joint Battle Command-Platform, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+; Nessus Vulnerability Scans, MS Baseline security scans and able to identify IA patches and updates for specific systems.
Desired Qualifications:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (Active CCNA), Microsoft Windows 7, Configuring (70-680), Microsoft Windows 7, Enterprise Desktop Administrator (70-686).
