Summary:

The Unit License Assessor is responsible for ensuring Afghan training candidates at Mazar-e-Sharif International Airport have satisfactorily completed all required training in accordance with the Unit Training Plan and have achieved a level of competence to perform duties as fully certified Air Traffic Controller.


Essential Job Functions: (not limited to duties as described – performs related duties as requested)

– Ensures published regulations, ATC procedures, SOPs, LOPs and policies are observed by Afghani Air Traffic Control trainees.

– Responsible for ensuring the execution of air traffic services including all coordination by Afghan Air Traffic Control trainees


Level of Supervision: n/a


Education & Experience: (or equivalent)]


  • A minimum of 5 years experience in an air traffic control facility.

  • ATC Licensed Assessor previously certified in accordance with ICAO, FAA, or military standards.

  • ATC Instructor previously certified in accordance with ICAO, FAA, or military standards.

License & Certifications:

– Approved ICAO course (or FAA/Military equivalent) and assessment. Training skills regarding evaluation methods.

– Human Factors associated to operation and instruction.


Knowledge & Skills:

Mandatory Proficiency: Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Graphic Presentation, and Database.

English:SLP 4343


The normal working language within theorganisationis English for all written and oral work.


  • Ability to write clearly and concisely detailed technical and specialized reports and to make verbal presentations.

  • Ability to develop clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies. Identify priorities and adjust as required.
