Summary:
The Information Assurance (IA) Manager is responsible for monitoring and reporting on network IA-compliance issues in support of the Ministry of Interior Network Operations Center/Joint Operations Center (MoI NOC/JOC) compound in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Essential Job Functions: (not limited to duties as described – performs related duties as requested)
·Supervise staff of up to three IA Engineers
·Develop and enforce IA standards and procedures IAW government and local policies
·Monitor software and hardware for security issues
·Monitor testing procedures and execution for IA compliance
·Recognize and report IA-related issues
·Perform formal/informal security assessments
·Plan and execute system accreditation
·Perform other duties as assigned
Level of Supervision:
Reports directly to Project Manager (PM)
Education & Experience: (or equivalent)
·Bachelor’s Degree in IA
·Demonstrated exceptional problem solving skills
·Excellent communication and customer service skills
·Able to troubleshoot platform performance in a virtualized environment
·Able to maintain a safety conscious work environment
License & Certifications:
·IAM Level III Certification
Knowledge & Skills:
·Minimum three years of experience as IA Manager or other related Information Technology (IT) management experience
·Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required
·Able to provide directions and verbal orders with minimal supervision
·Able to develop and enforce basic step-by-step procedures
·Fluent in English (reading and speaking)
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
·Physically fit to stand and bend for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
·Use of appropriate Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) may be mandatory
·Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
·Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
Travel:Up to 33% (potential)
