AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. Job SummaryAECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experiencedMovement Control Coordinatorto join the MOSC-A in Afghanistan. Provides movement control support for the surface/air/sea movement of cargo and personnel through the U.S. Military transportation system. Responsible for receiving, validating and processing all transportation movement requests (TMR) and Air Movement Requests (AMR) for the personnel and equipment transiting, originating and terminating assigned MCT Area of Responsibility. Builds ULNs for air cargo and coordinates with SDDC/MCT/CDT and Special Handling to ensure all functions have been met in an efficient, timely, and cost effective manner to support the customer. Identifies and troubleshoots problem areas in movement and recommends solutions to management. Works closely with customers to ensure desired movement objectives, priorities and schedules are met and communicated to management. Analyzes work process and develops matrix for measuring performance. Prepares, compiles, and submits reports on work schedule, activities, operations, and production. Confers with customer, supervisors, contractors, and other personnel to exchange information and resolve problems. Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.




  • 1-3 years experience in Movement Control and Coordination required.




  • Must be able to obtain a NACI prior to start date.




  • Must be able to make adjustments in procedures and operations to accomplish work effectively and efficiently.




  • Must have moderate skill in Microsoft applications.




  • Must be familiar with Army Information Management Systems for movement to include knowledge and expertise in the Army Transportation System.




  • Driver’s license may be required.
