Global Operations Intern - ChildFund International - Richmond, VA
Imagine a place where your talent can make a meaningful difference in the lives of the world’s children, by helping them thrive throughout all stages of life and become leaders of lasting change. Working at ChildFund International is a remarkably rewarding experience in which colleagues in our International, three Regional and 26 National Offices, along with our Local Partners, work together to create enduring change for children and youth, communities and donors. We are mission-focused, values-driven, collaborative, diverse, performance-driven, and focused on achieving social impact.
Founded in 1938, ChildFund International is inspired and driven by the potential that is inherent in all children – the potential not only to survive, but to thrive, to become leaders who bring positive change for those around them. Our area of excellence and great strength is our deep understanding of children’s experiences of deprivation, exclusion and vulnerability, and our dedication to placing those experiences at the center of our policy and practice. We work to reduce the roots of poverty by giving a voice to deprived, excluded and vulnerable children and youth and implementing child development, protection and emergency assistance programs through local communities. These communities are among the hardest to reach, leaving children without access to education, health care, clean water, adequate nutrition and other basics they need to survive and achieve their potential. ChildFund works with children, families and their neighbors to transform their struggling communities into places where children can thrive. We work in 26 countries, reaching 18.1 million children and family members.
ChildFund’s 26 program countries are:
Africa: Ethiopia, The Gambia, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Mozambique, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Uganda and Zambia.
Americas: Bolivia, Brazil, Caribbean (Dominica and St. Vincent and The Grenadines), Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and the United States.
Asia: Afghanistan, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Timor-Leste.
