(AFG-KANDAHAR) Security Guard

Job*Summary*

Responsible for the guarding, patrolling, and monitoring of designated areas.

Principal Accountabilities

• Execute general security measures as directed using lethal or non-lethal methods as required


• Perform Access Point security as directed


• Perform perimeter security as directed


• Perform convoy security operations for weapons and ammunition being transported within the area of operations


• Perform fixed site security of weapons and ammunition


• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

• Must be able to catalogue and maintain weapons repair parts in special controlled areas


• Provide direct support for weapons maintenance of small arms, ensuring weapons repair to meet military standards


• Knowledge of the Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)


• Must be fluent in English


• Candidates must be qualified to provide security in lethal and non-lethal forms


• Candidates are required to be qualified in the use of small arms to include 12 GA tactical shotgun and AK 47 Assault Rifle


• Should be able to use security baton effectively and execute non lethal control measures


• Required to be in good physical condition and present an impeccable professional appearance


• Candidates will not consume alcoholic beverages or use any other inhibiting chemical substance either on or off duty while employed in this position

Experience & Education

• High School diploma or equivalent


• Must have a military background with at least 3 years experience

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

• Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable


• Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions


• Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions

Travel

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
