Cyber Risk Management and Initiatives Analyst (Job Number: 419487)
Description: Job Description: The successful candidate must have experience and familiarity with the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) and mission. Candidate must be a team player, willing to work challenging assignments and tasks concerning Cyber security and Computer Network Defense orders, policy, procedures and guidance; be willing to travel occasionally throughout the AOR (which includes Afghanistan, Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar, and other Southwest Asia nations).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be willing to join a diverse team of contractors supporting the C4ES Contact in the USCENTCOM J6.
- Interact and serve as direct interface with the military and government leadership within the Branch and with Service Components.
- Conduct/participate theater-wide collaboration for Cyber Security orders, policies, procedures and guidance through multiple means including but not limited to meetings, Video Teleconferencing, email and collaboration session communications.
- Distribute current Cyber Security orders, policies, procedures and guidance to the USCENTCOM Components.
- Provide Cyber Security support to USCENTCOM AOR NETOPS Centers, as required.
- Review and update Cyber Security current orders, policies and procedures.
- Interpret, analyze, produce and execute theater-wide Cyber Security policies, procedures and tactics.
- Coordinate and participate in theater Cybersecurity risk analysis, assessments or scoping missions, as required.
- Review current intelligence for relevant threats and develop appropriate actions/response.
- Assist with tracking of compliancy reporting for USCENTCOM orders.
- Document Cybersecurity orders, policies, procedures and guidance.
- Be familiar with the interpretation of Cybersecurity event categorization through analysis and coordination of incoming data flow from security devices or other means. Track anomalies or threat indicators, as required.
- Conduct real-time threat analysis for USCENTCOM Headquarters and theater through multiple situational awareness and management tools.
- Monitor theater-wide Cyber Security sensor grid situational awareness from Tier 0 to Tier 2 and provide mitigation and improvement recommendations; provide analysis both verbally and in writing for all sensor grid disruptions, outages and/or anomalies; coordinate, report and direct network responses through orders, policies, procedures and guidance.
- Perform Cyber Security information gathering from appropriate tools and databases.
- Track and report performance and capability metrics.
- Track and report Cybersecurity threats and events.
- Review security threats and determine/implement effective countermeasures orders, policies, procedures and guidance.
- Analyze network or system changes/reconfigurations for security impacts.
Qualifications:Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline (or equivalent) and 9+ years related experience.
- Must have significant (9 years +) experience within the USCENTCOM AOR and must be familiar with its and the Components’ missions.
Required Certifications:
- Must meet DoD 8570.01-M, minimum of IAT Level II Certification (i.e. Security +), prior to hiring.
Required Skills:
- Candidate must have a solid familiarity with defense-in-depth capabilities, application and network security. Must be familiar with a wide range of security technologies including, but not limited to SIEM, IDS/IPS, malware analysis and protection, content filtering, perimeter access controls, logical access controls, identity and access management, and data loss prevention.
- Candidate must have strong communications skills both verbally and in writing.
- Experience briefing senior military and civil service employees
- Candidate must be able to read and understand DoD Cyber Security orders, policies and procedures.
- Candidate must have an understanding of vulnerabilities, exploits, and practical working knowledge of DoD Cyber Security program.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with USCENTCOM, HBSS, and ARCSIGHT software is a plus
Clearance Requirement:
- Must currently possess or be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Level
