FCC licensed avionics technician familiar with Garmin-1000 integrated avionics system (G-1000) and Cessna Grand Caravan-EX aircraft. Ability to conduct G-1000 navigation data and chartview updates as well as Engine Condition Trend Monitoring (ECTM) data downloads as required. Ability to troubleshoot and repair avionics systems anomalies including component replacement, electronics repair and operational checks. Conduct routine scheduled checks of avionics systems including: instruments, pitot/static system, weather radar and G-1000. Able to lift up to 50lbs and unrestricted ability to work around aircraft including stooping, standing, working above head, safely utilize maintenance stands, platforms and ladders often for extended periods while exposed to outdoors. Ability to teach others. Basic computer use including maintenance manuals navigation and Microsoft office suite. Will be expected to comply with company directed training program and achieve aircraft launch, recovery and servicing qualifications within 6 months of job assignment.
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions, perform necessary corrective action on electrical systems, engines, fuel system, and all other related aircraft systems.
- Reads, interprets and complies with Service Instructions, Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives as directed by the manufacturer or FAA.
- Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures and functional components. • Services, repairs, and overhauls aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure airworthiness.
- Remove and replace defective components, adjust and rig systems when required.
- Specialized in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, functional spare parts and assemblies, and engine repair (preferred).
- Service engines and airframe components at line station as required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition.
- Records maintenance action on aircraft, engine, and component records, forms, tags, and other applicable documents according to FAA requirements and instructions in the repair station manual.
- Perform related duties as required, including flying on maintenance functional check flights
- Able to work any assigned shift or schedule, including mission support outside normal duty hours and travel as required to support mission requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and abilities are required:
* High school diploma or equivalent Military / Technical Hands-on training with 5 years experience in aviation maintenance.
* US drivers’ license.
* Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or equivalent Military / Technical Hands-on training with 5 years experience in aviation maintenance.
* Familiar with FAA regulatory requirements.
* Experience in working with DOD agencies and foreign military services.
* Three or more years of recent hands on avionics experience.
* Results-driven with strong focus on delivering significant quality benefits.
* High-achieving and ambitious self-starter with a track record of successful accomplishments in training operations.
* Must have an in-depth knowledge (aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards) of flight line operations.
* Must be able to pass a background investigation.
* Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
* Must possess a US Passport with the ability to obtain a Work Visa for Afghanistan.
* Subject to drug and alcohol testing.
* Position Contingent on Contract Award.
