Work Control Specialist
Reports to:Deputy Project Manager
Performance Location: The individual filling this position will be supporting PAE on a contract for the US Department of State and working at the US Embassy and/or its outlying sites in Kabul, Afghanistan. Periodic travel with extended overnight stays may be required while working on projects and other locations in Afghanistan. Percentage of travel will vary significantly but on average is expected to be less than 10% of the total time
Working Environment:The candidate will work on construction and maintenance sites including exposure to the dangers inherent with such sites.
Work Schedule: This position works ten hours/day six days a week minimum, is on-call 24/7 and must be willing to quickly respond to all critical customer service issues as required.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the managing and dispatching of facility service requests and the preventive maintenance work order system, Work Order Management System for the U.S. Embassy, Kabul.
- Receive, process, schedule, and monitor work orders.
- Assist in storing, maintaining, and managing records, drawings, technical manuals, and building notices needed for the safety and maintenance of the U.S. Embassy Kabul compound.
- Perform general office administrative duties such as preparing reports, tables, summaries, and other documents using standard office software.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor and PAE Management.
Minimum Acceptable Experience and Qualification Levels:
The Work Order Specialist shall have the following experience for this position:Prior experience in building trades, property management, construction, and computerized maintenance management skills is required.
- Must be conversant with computer programs; must be able to produce letters, reports and presentations.
Previous experience with Work Order management systems is required.
Education:Four-year college degree or completion of a trades or technical school is preferred.
- IT Experience is preferred.
Must be able to successfully complete a 5-day Government Work Orders training course.
Language Requirements:Must be fluent in speaking, reading and writing English.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with employees, management and the client.
Citizenship:US Citizenship is not required for this position.
Clearance:Must have a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) or the ability to obtain one
