(AFG-AE) AFGHAN AIR FORCE (AAF) KABUL WING TRAINING MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
The 438th AEW has a requirement to train the AAF on how to organize, man, equip, and train their forces. ISAF/CJ7/CSTC-A and the NATC-A/438th AEW will organize and conduct this training effort at AAF HQ and the AAF Kabul Air Wing, located in a secure area adjacent to the Kabul
International Airport (KAIA).
* Provide instruction in order to organize E&T programs to achieve educational goals and mission requirements
Contractor will access and document all training on a weekly basis
Train personnel to develop and manages reporting procedures
Train personnel to maintain E&T data, and provides statistical reports on programs and operations
Train personnel to monitor progress, identifies problem areas, determines causes, recommends corrective action, and provides counsel. Within 30 days of Exercise of PoP, contractor shall collaborate with the J-Lead to develop an instruction schedule
Train personnel to organize and controls facilities, supplies, and equipment to support E&T needs
Forecasts E&T requirements, determines validity, and assesses cost
Provide instruction in order to coordinate/participate in training workshops, training planning teams, and training planning groups as directed
Train AAF members in development of and seek to implement regulatory guidance and processes for the establishment and standardization of AAF training programs
Train to manage initial skills and upgrade training to include scheduling training with PeH and monitoring of AAF members in training
Provide on-the-job training for AAF Wing members assigned as training managers/personnel on all aspects of the job
Train to coordinate AAF training issues between/with the appropriate Coalition Force staffs
Provide instruction in the development and implementation of AAF manuals and training materials supporting the Wing as directed by Higher Headquarters.
Applicants must be able to pass CENTCOM medical, dental and other CRC-related deployment requirements at an approved CRC. Applicants must be in possession of a current/active US tourist Passport (with further eligibility to receive – if not already in possession of – a current Afghanistan visa). If candidate is already deployed, he/she must supply appropriate documentation satisfying these requirements along with confirmation that he/she is in physical possession of government-issued PPE to demonstrate compliance with CENTCOM deployment requirements.
Willing to work and live in Afghanistan and understand they can be further assigned to any location in Afghanistan based upon the needs of the U.S. Government
Willingness to work in hostile areas without a weapon
Willingness to deploy and live on forward operating bases without regular U.S. Post/Base Exchange and Commissary facilities
Previous experience training foreign military soldiers.
Deployed operational experience in support of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT)

MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Former Senior Officer with an Aviation Operations and Training background
The applicant shall have at least 10 years of Operations and Training experience
Applicant should have current experience working with Afghan Air Force
Applicants must be able to pass CENTCOM medical, dental and other CRC-related deployment requirements at an approved CRC. Operation Iraqi Freedom, or Operation Enduring Freedom deployments
Experience training Afghans on Operations and Training issues
