Vice President, Military Health - General Dynamics Information Technology - Fairfax, VA

Vice President executive level position responsible for strategic direction, business growth, profit and loss for Military Health and Veteran’s Affairs business unit as part of the Healthcare Sector of the Health and Civilian Solutions Division of GDIT. Executive responsible for continued success of the business unit. Manage and supervise all employees working from offices in Fairfax, VA, Frederick, MD, Silver Spring, MD, and San Antonio, TX as well as scores of client site locations. Direct reports consist of up to five Program/Section Vice Presidents and other Senior Directors/Directors. Manage all aspects of business to ensure unit meets business targets in Revenue, EBIT, Days Sales Outstanding, Direct Labor, and Cash Flow. Brief senior corporate leaders regularly on status of business. Maintain business pipeline of 9.5 times revenue to ensure continued growth. Manage all aspects of proposal process to ensure follow-on, re-compete and new business proposals are submitted in support of business objectives. Coordinate activities with Division level and higher staff in areas of Finance, Business Development, Proposal Development, Human Resources, Recruiting, and Contracting. In depth understanding of OCONUS work and process with bidding this type work. Understanding of all aspects of healthcare required including medical research and development, initial outfitting of hospitals, program management and information technology support, general hospital and medical clinic operations, and management of programs to protect PII and PHI required.

Requires MS/MBA degree.Health care field education and training a plus..

Broad working knowledge of all types Federal Government contracts including Cost Plus, Fixed Price and Time and Materials

In depth knowledge of price proposal formulation with understanding of direct and indirect pricing build.

In depth knowledge of Military Health System, organization structure and budgeting process a plus.

Understanding of mission, functions, organization, and operations of Veterans Affairs department.

Demonstrated experience managing a P&L for a business unit of $100M or more.

Travel required for 15 – 20% of time. Some OCONUS travel required worldwide including Korea, the Middle East, Europe, and potentially forward deployed locations like Afghanistan for short visits.

Secret or higher DoD security clearance required.

15 years experience in Health Care field a plus.
