Here’s where you come in:

As Operations Director – World Vision Afghanistan, you will provide strategic leadership in the funding, management and implementation of all World Vision programmes and projects in Afghanistan. You will be responsible for ensuring that the programmes are efficiently and effectively implemented and maintained. You will provide leadership, coaching and support to direct reports and to the department overall.

Requirements include:

· Masters degree or equivalent in related field, or a combination of relevant schooling and work experience.

· Minimum 3 years in senior leadership and management positions within an NGO or UN entity, working in both relief and development.

· Ability to build positive relationships across cultures and has cross cultural communication skills.

· Strong English communication skills.

· Based in Herat with travel in country up to 25% of the time depending on program needs.
