Daily rate

GardaWorld offers a competitive daily rate to all personnel. (Contractor will only be paid for days spent on-duty)

Rotation

8 weeks on and 4 off, however candidates need to be flexible and will be driven by operational requirements.

Travel Pay

Travel pay is one half of the On-Duty rate for day(s) spent travelling from the contractor’s country of residence to the place of work (max of 2 days) and on return to the country of residence (max of 2 days).There is no £75 travel allowance applicable on this project placement.

Package

GardaWorld will provide the Independent Contractor with appropriate accommodation, insurance, flights and life support

Flight Package

The Hub Airport designated by the Company for the Consultant will be located in the United Kingdom and will be the most cost effective option available to the Company at the time of booking a flight.

Operational effectiveness will also be considered when booking the flight. Such Hub Airport may not be the one geographically closest to Consultant’s residence and, as such, may require Consultant paying for the cost to and from such airport or making up the difference if Consultant resides outside the United Kingdom.

For example: If the cost to deploy GW Contractor from his local airport hub to Afghanistan is more than GBP1300 using diplomatic flights or £1000 with commercial airlines then any additional costs will be borne by the contractor

Essential Hiring Criteria

Addtional criteria will need to be met by ansering a variety of disqualifying questions also

• Former SNCO or higher


• Previous Operational Security Management experience within a hostile enviroment.


• Must have experience of writing, complex security plans; coupled with developing standard operating procedures for the project locations.


• Must have strong understanding of financial accounts for payroll, as well as operational expenses for the project.


• Must have a good understanding of Health and Safety at work; making sure the HSE manager is informed of all issues in a timely manner.


• Must have experience to lead the team from the front; setting high standards for all to follow.


• Must be able to communicate with clients and prepare daily reports as well prepare security briefs as required.


• Must have experience of dealing with Government officials; understand the complexity of local stakeholders and their position in Afghanistan.


• Strong communications and IT skills, including use of all Microsoft programmes; Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook.

Job Duties

Under the direction of the Operations Director Afghanistan, build and maintain the operational platform to deliver GW’s security services to the other clients in Afghanistan

§ Manage all operational activities with GW to include:

§ Provide operational input into all GW Afghanistan proposals

§ Produce and maintain SOPs for all GW clients

§ Where required coordinate with IOCs on min standards

§ Maintain the operational standards of the GW Afghanistan team which are driven by GW Operations.

§ Business Development

§ Provide operational and administrative support to all GW Afghanistan clients.

§ Will support the CMT in all activities relating to the region.

§ Will be the point of contact for all expatriate staff on GW projects, this will include communication in regard to leave rotations.

§ Will prepare all end of month accounts, these will include float expenses, LN wages.

§ Will review all security plans once a month; adapt the plan to fit with any new clients operating standards.

§ Prepare and submit all vehicle movement schedules to operations/clients on a daily basis.

§ Communicate training needs to the in country training manager on a weekly basis.

§ Supply the resource manager with a weekly report on issues with equipment’s for the project.

§ Any other tasks as they arrive.
