(AFG-KABUL) Administrative Assistant Mentor
Job Summary
The administrative assistant will provide office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and monitoring administrative projects.
Principal Accountabilities
- Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms control, office layout, and budgetary and personnel requirements.
- Resolves administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
- Reasonable ability to utilize current word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and Internet software
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
- English speaking
- Experience working with military or Department of Defense (DoD).
- Reasonable ability to utilize current word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and Internet software.
- Must have a final (not interim) SECRET Level Security DoD Clearance before deployment and must maintain that clearance.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Must pass all medical and fitness requirements directed by US Central Command (CENTCOM) in order to deploy
- Must be able to operate in harsh and austere conditions of Afghanistan
Travel
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally may be required.
