Description:
The Initiative for Hygiene, Sanitation, and Nutrition ( IHSAN ) is a five-year project whose goal is toassisting the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan(GIRoA), civil society organizations(CSOs), and the private sector to carry out and scale up evidence-based nutrition and water, hygiene, and sanitation(WASH)interventions that will improve the nutritional status of women and children less than five years old.Specific project objectives include enhancing capacity to institutionalize nutrition programs, increasing adoption of optimal nutrition and hygiene behaviors at community and household levels; and increasing availability of nutrition, hygiene, and sanitation services and products increased.The project will focus on the 10 provinces with poorest nutritional indicators based on the 2014 national nutrition assessment.Recognizing that significant variations in health situations exist between districts and sub-districts in each province, we will promote improved nutrient intake and awareness and improved sanitation and hygiene practices by working with provincial health authorities and communities to strive toward improved coverage in priority areas.

The IT Officer has overall responsibility to maintain the Project Office IT requirements and coordinate with regional office/HQ IT resources on troubleshooting and maintaining local systems.
Accountabilities :
Provide support in all areas of Network, creating an email address, software installation and support
Configuration of domain user, installation, formatting & workstation backup of workstations.
Maintenance, installation & configuration of different devices, Printers, wireless access points, Routers, MS Outlook & Office365.
Perform software, Operating system(Windows 7/8/10)and anti-virus installation, configuration and regular updates
Responsible for regular maintenance of communication, electronic devices and IT equipment and for monitoring and controlling stock of IT Equipment.
Maintenance and enhancement of restricted user environment(Network policy based).
Make a log and documentation of any Internet Issues(connectivity change, breakdown, equipment change)
Supports organizational wide priorities by ensuring optimal support and timely resolution of incidents
Demonstrates complete ownership of all incidents or service requests
Responsible for tracking and progress of all incidents to conclusion
Trains staff on newly deployed technologies
Perform all IT administration related tasks and report any other IT related issue.

General supervision and instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions withperiodic work review given for new activities or special assignments.
Contacts are typically with individuals within organization and with contacts outside the organization.
Technology to be Used :
Network/Internet, Personal Computer(Windows and Mac), Microsoft Operating Systems(Windows Server and Windows Workstation), Office 365(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Cloud Storage/Technology, Antivirus, Email, Telephone, Printer,Copier, Smartphone, Tablet, and other hand held devices.
Travel Requirements :
Less than 10%
Qualifications:
Education / Experience :
University Degree in Information Technology.
Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization(NGO)
Must have Computer Hardware & A++knowledge.
Must have Experience in Wired & Wireless LAN Environment.
Network Certification is a Plus. (CCNA, MCP or CCNP)
Good command of writing and speaking English.
Ability to work well with others and independently
Typical Physical Demands :
Typical office environment.Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; ability to lift 5-50 lbs.
