(AFG-KABUL) Performance Excellence Training & Mentoring Inspector


Job Summary


The Performance Excellance Training & Mentoring Inspector is responsible for oversight and monitoring of compliance to Statement of Work in regards to Training & Mentoring operations. Investigates and provides recommendations on corrective and preventative measures related to accidents on the Program. Ensures the collection of data and analyses of that data to identify trends and monitor the effectiveness of quality programs related to Training and Mentoring. Central point of contact (POC) for Quality Assurance Activities, as assigned.


Principal Accountabilities


  • Plans the monthly surveillance inspections and evaluation schedule on SOW compliance related to Training and Mentoring operations

  • Reviews Training and Mentoring SOW deliverables to ensure compliance

  • Reviews, monitors and provides oversight to Government issued Notices to Proceed (NTPs) that affect Training and Mentoring operations

  • Provides oversight on evaluating that all personnel are properly certified and trained in accordance to specified credentials outlined within the Program Statement of Work.

  • Performs data analysis on all raw data from surveillance inspections, audits and spot checks

  • Conducts vehicle accident reconstruction within the capabilities of provided resources and provides corrective and mitigation measures to prevent recurrence

  • Investigates safety incidents and prepares quality trend analysis reports, quality evaluation records, and other QAQC records as required by the contract and the department manager

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills


  • Strong knowledge of international training/mentoring/advising techniques

  • Knowledge of quality control plans and quality management practices and processes is mandatory to ensure all requirements of the contract are met

  • Working knowledge of military quality practices

  • Working knowledge of law enforcement practices and traffic accident reconstruction is preferred

  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office software

  • Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment

Experience & Education


  • High school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred

  • ISO 9001 Certified Internal Auditor preferred

  • Prior experience as an international police or military trainer/mentor/advisor

  • Minimum of 5 years combined law enforcement experience and/or military experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in any combination in the following areas: Quality Assurance/Improvement, Internal Investigations, Accident Investigations, Organization Compliance, Inspector General

  • 30-hour training certification in the US Occupational Safety & Health Administration’s (OSHA) outreach program for General Industry must be completed within 60 days after assuming the position

  • Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment

Physical Requirements/Working Environment


  • Place of duty and environmental conditions can be extremely austere, harsh, and work can be performed under hostile and life-threatening conditions

  • Must pass pre-deployment medical screening as required by the contract

Travel


  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
