Summary:
This position will provide for Quality Control and Safety in assigned functional/sub-functional areas.
Essential Job Functions: (not limited to duties as described – performs related duties as requested)
- Manage the Supervisory Inspection Process in their functional area.
- Conduct weekly (unless work is specifically completed on a set schedule, e.g. quarterly) Supervisory Inspections of 10% of work performed in their functional area, and adjust as necessary.
- Monitor the Issue Identification, Prevention, and Corrective Action Process and analyze issues and trends developed from CATSWeb© data.
- Take appropriate action to maintain effective Quality Control in their functional area.
- Ensure that employees’ assigned jobs have required certifications, qualifications and training.
- Manage the Supervisory Inspection Process in functional areas.
- Conduct weekly (unless work is specifically completed on a set schedule, e.g. quarterly) Supervisory Inspections of 10% of work performed in their functional area, and adjust as necessary.
- Use approved Job Plans, Business Processes, and Work Instructions, Forms or other documentation for assigned work.
- Perform assigned work in accordance with the approved Job Plan.
- Employ safe and environmentally sound practices.
- Using the work inspection criteria specified in the Job Plan or other document, conduct worker-level Quality Control inspections of 100% of all assigned tasks and correct deficiencies when identified.
- Participate in the customer satisfaction process.
- Approves the Quality Control Plan and monitors short and long-term trends in Quality.
- Exercises final responsibility over all aspects of this Quality Control Plan and its processes.
- Ensures that project resources to execute this Quality Control Plan are in place and effective.
- Reviews all Customer-identified Contract Deficiency Reports (CDRs).
- Manages appropriate corrective action to prevent and / or correct non-conformities in all functional areas under this Quality Control Plan.
- Works with and provides guidance to Quality Control Representatives (QCRs).
- Reports independently to Corporate Quality and Operations on significant Quality matters requiring direct action.
- Acts to prevent deficiencies in work quality before they become unacceptable, engaging the QCRs, and if need be, Corporate Quality and Operations.
- Collates reports from QCRs and other Quality Control information for customer review.
- Prepares QC Inspection Checklists and Compliance Inspection Schedule.
- Conducts scheduled and unscheduled Compliance Inspections.

Education & Experience: (or equivalent)
- Must have a minimum of two years Quality Control and Inspections
- Related Bachelor Degree or two additional years of experience for each year of missing education.
- Consideration will be given to relevant professional experience commensurate with assignment.
- Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include medical, drug testing, and background checks, etc.
License & Certifications:
- ISO 9001 internal audits (participation and/or conducting)
Knowledge & Skills:
- Must have good verbal and writing skills; be familiar with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Candidates must be physically able and willing to work long hours to meet mission and contract requirements.
