Tetra Tech is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified Health & Safety Specialist candidates for one of our USAID funded projects in Afghanistan. The overall objective of this project is to provide direct engineering support in all areas of engineering to the client.

Responsibilities

:

Administer Corporate Safety programs;

Schedules, Tracks and Conducts Safety Training;

Conducts routine safety and environmental inspections;

Provide Engineering support for plant Safety systems (Fire Protection, Electrical Safety, and Air Ventilation Systems);

Coordinate Emergency Response and Disaster Preparedness Program including periodical evacuation drills;

Coordinate and manage 1st responders, first aid room and safety supplies;

Responsible for Security Contract;

Coordinate Ergonomic Analysis and Improvement Program;

Maintain compliance with all safety and environmental regulations & laws (OSHA, DHEC, Federal, State & Local Laws);

Maintain Safety Records.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelors’ Degree in Safety Engineering or similar program;

Basic knowledge of safety and fire safety related regulations;

Minimum 5 years’ experience in an engineering safety position;

Demonstrates proficiency in communication with the ability to interact will all levels of employees;

Proficient with Computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point).
