Daily rate

GardaWorld will offer competitive Daily rate whilst on duty (No payment for off-duty)

Rotation

8 weeks on and 4 off however candidates need to be flexible and will be driven by operational requirements

Duration of Task

Open Ended

Travel Pay

Travel pay is one half of the On-Duty rate for day(s) spent travelling from the contractor’s country of residence to the place of work (max of 2 days) and on return to the country of residence (max of 2 days).There is no £75 travel allowance applicable on this project placement.

Package

GardaWorld will provide the Independent Contractor with appropriate accommodation, insurance, flights and life support

Flight Package

The Hub Airport designated by the Company for the Consultant will be located in the United Kingdom and will be the most cost effective option available to the Company at the time of booking a flight.

Operational effectiveness will also be considered when booking the flight. Such Hub Airport may not be the one geographically closest to Consultant’s residence and, as such, may require Consultant paying for the cost to and from such airport or making up the difference if Consultant resides outside the United Kingdom.

For example: If the cost to deploy GW Contractor from his local airport hub to Afghanistan is more than GBP1300 using diplomatic flights or £1000 with commercial airlines then any additional costs will be borne by the contractor

Hiring Credentials

• English speaking expatriate


• Clean criminal record, evidence will be required


• Full Driving Licence


• Previous experience in a hostile environment to include Afghanistan


• Min of 5 years (min) Security Management experience in a similar role


• A Former SNCO or above in the military with a min of at least 5 year’s service


• Must have experience of writing, complex security plans; coupled with developing standard operating procedures for the project locations.


• Must have strong understanding of financial accounts for payroll, as well as operational expenses for the project.


• Must have a good understanding of Health and Safety at work; making sure the HSE manager is informed of all issues in a timely manner.


• Must have experience to lead the team from the front; setting high standards for all to follow.


• Must be able to communicate with clients and prepare daily reports as well prepare security briefs as required.


• Must have experience of dealing with Government officials; understand the complexity of local stakeholders and their position in Afghanistan.


• Strong communications and IT skills, including use of all Microsoft programmes; Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook.


• Must be able to deploy to all GW projects across Afghanistan – inclusive of areas where certain nationalities are banned from travelling.


• Detailed knowledge and understanding of DOD Contracts and ACOD/DCMA procedures and audits


• Detailed knowledge and understanding of the operational and tactical requirements for mobile armed security operations


• Experience in the management of operations in high risk area of operations

Job Duties

Provide operational support to the ROM in all HQ activities.

Duties are to include but not be limited to:

• Responsible for the day to day operational aspects of the RMT, inclusive of RMT PSC 1 requirements.


• Oversee the RMT operations room, journey management and watchkeeper staff.


• Delivery of ad-hoc tasking’s inclusive of pricing, quotes and operational provision.


• Support to ROM as required.


• Development of CONOPs for all propositions


• Coordination with the QM for all logistic movement of equipment


• Link with the Operations Centre for any incident in the Region


• Link to the GW Afghanistan Ops Centre and Admin Manager for all Arming rosters


• Assist in the coord and execute all Force generation plan for the Region


• Lead on the coordination of all GW personnel, assets and clients into Afghanistan region area of operations
