Flight Inspector 4 - Northrop Grumman - Force, PA





We are seeking a Flight Inspector for a deployed position in Afghanistan with no home basing for the Hunter Unmanned Air Vehicle System (UAS).

Work will entail deployments to hazardous duty locations in support of the military customer.

Candidate is required to obtain Hunter UAS Mech/Tech training at RIAC Dugway UT and Quality training at USIC Sierra Vista prior to deployment. Must pass the customers CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) screening and training to be eligible to deploy. Candidate Will be required to apply and maintain standards of quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures and be able to modify and implement change as necessary. Providing coordination, guidance and analysis of projects, repair and employment of the Hunter UAS, thru life cycle management processes.

Inspects demonstrator and production aircraft systems, equipment and parts for operation and conformance to government and company standards and specifications. Inspects the installation and operation of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil, and emergency systems and other parts and equipment of aircraft. Performs weight and balance, preflight, and postflight inspections in accordance with standard procedure on flight-proven aircraft. Approves non-flight-proven aircraft for flight. Inspects, adjustments, repairs, or modifications made on the aircraft. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:


Bachelors degree plus 5 years of applied experience in aviation related quality assurance or aviation maintenance management (military or FAA). In lieu of formal education, 9 years of applied experience in aviation related quality assurance or aviation maintenance management (military or FAA) will be considered.


Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) UAS-I, FAA / Military maintenance practices, Airframe and Power plant certification, Inspection Authorization (IA), and Avionics experience a plus. Experience with military deployments, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), and an Aviation Safety background is highly desirable. Proficiency w/ MS Office suite.
