Michael Baker International is looking to fill an immediate position within the Logistics Directorate for an experienced Logistics Manager to support an international life-support services, training and security firm by providing the materials and equipment necessary to execute those programs for the Department of State, the Department of Defense and both commercial and private sectors.
Position is contingent upon contract award.
Roles and Responsibilities

Manages multiple functions within the Division to include (but not limited to)
End-User / ITAR compliance, ISO compliance, Procurement / Purchasing (vendor selection and negotiation) controls, Transportation (Documentation, Freight Forwarding), Asset Visibility (Property Control), Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, Storage and Distribution.

Attend all Division-level meetings/briefings and offer sound recommendations consistent with most current logistics developments to achieve overall corporate intent.

Under the guidance of the CLMO, DBDO, Program/Project Managers, leads and directs the work of others as necessary with a wide degree of creativity and latitude using best business practices and field concepts when corporate policy is not available. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Fundamentally responsible for cradle-to-grave, project logistics starting with Bills of Materials (BOM) or other authorization documents, support the procurement of those items, track and audit inventories once they are at destination, the consumption of raw materials, management and use of assets and ultimate transition or end-of-life, fiscally responsible destruction.

Liaise directly with domestic and international vendors and freight forwarders.
·
Assist adjacent divisions of the Company requiring Logistics Management support as directed by the CDoL.
·
Collaborate and actively participate in logistics subject development, administration, and support using best business practices.
·
Ensure compliance with Company filing systems.
·
Travels to the Middle East and Afghanistan.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
·
Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or related discipline and 5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications of training, or work experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
·
Certified Exporter (CE) required; Certified ITAR Professional (CIP) preferred.
·
Familiar with MAXIMO database system.
·
Familiar with FAR, CFAR, DFAR, DCAA, ISO authorities with regards to import/export compliance, procurement, asset management, inventory control and auditing processes.
·
Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
·
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
