Job Summary:
Provide support of INSCOM Information Assurance and
Security mission. Assist in the development and implementation of INSCOM
information assurance and network security courses of actions. Generate
required systems security plans, designs, and reports in accordance with DIACAP
and Intelligence Community Directives to include (ICD) 503, DCID 6/3 and the
NIST Risk Management Framework. Work with stakeholders to define and analyze system
security requirements and provide technical solutions to best fit the
customers’ needs. Apply Information Assurance (IA) principles during all phases
of the system development lifecycle and conduct internal audits to ensure
compliance with current DoD and Intelligence Community Security directives,
policies, regulations, guidance, security technical implementation guides, and
industry security best practices.
Role/Responsibility:
Installation of DISA ACAS on RHEL LINUX Server Using
Linux command line to ensure connectivity to CONUS and OCONUS networks.
Managing Nessus Security Center and Scanners.
Updating monthly patches on ACAS server.
Creating, Deleting, Edit User Accounts (i.e. admins
and/or organizational head accounts) Upgrade Nessus Scanner via RDP on Virtual
Machines Creating Snapshots of the current ACAS version Monthly using VSphere
Client Provide Technical Support to Nessus Admins by assisting in software
upgrades.
Recover root level passwords
Run network tests to find out connectivity issues from
the ACAS SERVER to NESSUS SCANNERS Assigned IP address ranges for the Scanners
to analyze by adding the range to the Security Center repository.
Monitor the Security Center for inconsistent connectivity
Notifying the Nessus Scan admin of status of their scanner when it fails to
connect to the Security Center.
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
(must be measurable; must be objective, non-comparative and relevant to performance; must be about ability and not willingness)
- DoD 8570 Information Assurance Level II certified
- DoD 8570 computing environment certification or training certificate for the operating system(s) and/or security related tools/devices they support
- Three years’ experience in information systems security and application security policies and procedures (Security Technical Implementation Guides, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management, Gold Disk, and Federal Information, Security Management Act)
- Demonstrated experience conducting information system security controls assessments to including the proper interpretation of the control requirements, determining if the artifacts provided are sufficient, and recommending remedial actions to the customer to ensure compliance.
- Three years’ experience in Computer Network Defense policies and procedures
- Three year’ experience in DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP)
- Three years’ experience with delivering DCID 6/3 and ICD 503 compliant system security plans, control implementation, system requirements, and test procedures for PL-2 or higher systems.
- Three years’ experience with implementing CNSSI 1253 and NIST 800-53 standards and controls
- US citizen
- Active Top Secret (TS) with SCI eligibility
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
(nice to have skills or experience but does not disqualify a candidate)
- Working experience with DoD Civilians, military and contractors is desired
- Working knowledge of MS Active Directory
- Working knowledge of MS Office products
- Working knowledge of Remedy ITSM
- Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library V3 (ITIL)
- Knowledge of Host Based System Security
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Work 8 hours between 6 AM and 6 PM, Monday through Friday; flexibility to work rotating on-call after normal duty hours, weekends, and holidays from home in support of 24X7 shifts; may travel to attend Government required training or in support of mission; considerable stress may occur at times; physical demands include those associated with maintaining government data centers.
