(AFG-Herat) Base Operating Support Specialist

The duties of the Base Operating Support Specialist shall include support at a Forward Operating Base (FOB) consisting of over 1,000 residents (with a flux capacity of up to 2,000 residents) and over 150 buildings, in similar size and workload relation to Camp Stone and include assistance in the management of the Base Master Planning efforts for all Services/forces. Tasks & Responsibilities are not limited to but include:



  • Support in the tracking and reporting of all billeting requirements for all tenants residing on base.




  • Billeting support responsibilities include, but are not limited to:




  • Provide support services to the maintenance of key and lock control for base billeting areas.




  • Provide support services to the issuance of office space in accordance with Sand Book Standards (CENTCOM Regulation 415-1).




  • Provide support services in the issuance of permanent and transient living space in accordance with Sand Book Standards (CENTCOM Regulation 415-1).




  • Provide support services in the Coordination with Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP), associated subcontractors, and tenants for the scheduling of life support and maintenance services.




  • Provide support to Government employees to ensure that distinguished visitors (DVs) receive appropriate accommodations and services.




  • Provide support services to track and update reports, systems, and other tracking database type requirements to ensure tracking and updates for over 40 billeting slides to reflect on-site tenants, services, and other critical information for the BOS-I Command.




  • Serve as the first-line customer service representative for all issues related to BOS-I functions.




  • Provide support to the Government in reporting and monitoring power generation services to include the FOB power grid; maximizes occupancy of all base buildings to optimize fuel consumption and generator usage.




  • Monitor and report on all amnesty, uniform, battery, and electronics collection points; empty, containerize, and process excess items from these collection points as needed for shipment to the local Redistribution Property Accountability Team (RPAT) yard for further disposition.




  • Provide support services to the Government in managing the monthly Local National (LN) escort rosters to ensure adequate escort coverage is maintain for LN laborers.




  • Provide support services to monitor and report power generation hours and coordinate with tenants for scheduled and unscheduled generator maintenance.




  • Draft, compile, route, and track appropriate documentation for the procurement of Major Cell contracts.




  • Provide support in developing and implementing project requirements in support of USCENTCOM construction standards.




  • Provide support in the programming and reporting requirements needed to support Base Master Plans and within designated construction standards. Work requirements include the use of Microsoft Office Suite programs.




  • Active US Secret security clearance required.

Experience working in a CMMI Level 3 project/business environment a plus for all open positions. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Security clearance required.
