Logistics Supervisor


This position is located in Kabul and is contingent upon position availability


PAE, Lockheed Martin Company, seeks a Logistics Supervisor to serve on our Corrections System Support Task Program (CSSP) under the CIVPOL contract. The Logistics Supervisor will be expected to develop strategic and tactical plans for the efficient operations of the PAE Logistics and Procurement Department Headquarters.


Position Description:



  • Oversee the integration of learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, professional training to continuously improve competitive position.




  • Plan, manager, and deliver logistical support for a government contract.




  • Oversee the compiling and analyzing of statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.




  • Monitor information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Insures conferring with suppliers and analyses suppliers; operations to determine factors that affect price and determines lowest cost consistent with quality reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.




  • Oversee the review of proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.




  • Manage the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements.




  • Monitor the building of relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives; and partner with corporate procurement to implement programs and initiatives.




  • Participate in locating sources to supply and making comparative evaluations of quality and features, completing and tracking Purchase Requisitions.




  • Responsible for obtaining and documenting three prices quotes for all purchases exceeding $2,500.00, ensuring the best value to the government.




  • Responsible for cradle to grave of all logistical and procurement functions.




  • Ensure that all international shipments are coordinated with our export coordinator and other duties and responsibilities as assigned.



Job Description:



  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline. Two (2) years experience in logistics or related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years college.




  • Twelve (12) years experience in supply chain management and/or government property administration. Prefer at least four (4) years management position in contingency logistics environment.




  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and related federal and state legislation and regulations.




  • Knowledge of various computer applications such as Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).




  • Must be U.S. Citizen
