(AFG-Kabul) Logistics Manager

Logistics Manager


This position is located in Kabul and is contingent upon position availability.


This Logistics Manager would be responsible for managing the shipping and receiving department and directing and executing the physical inventory of supplies, raw materials, and finished goods, QA/QC at the RLECs, shipping of samples, training, support of tolling operations, and the requisition and placement of materials for various process managers and their tolling operations, material movements, Warehouse/Distribution Operations Management- direct supervision of others and budget management responsibilities of GFE property, international shipping and receiving operations, and development of practices, manuals, and operational procedures.


Operation Manager/Logistics Supervisor



  • The Operations Manager / Logistical Supervisor reports directly to the DPM and is responsible for supply operations to include procurement, property control, and periodic inventories. The Operations Manager / Logistics Supervisor will be assisted in this effort by a Contracts Specialist, a Procurement Specialist, and an Inventory Control Specialist.




  • Procurement: The Operations Manager / Logistics Supervisor, assisted by a Procurement Specialist, will be responsible for all procurement actions (except subcontracts which are handled by the Contracts Specialist).



Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline




  • Two (2) years’ experience in logistics or related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years college.




  • Twelve (12) years’ experience in supply chain management and/or government property administration




  • Prefer at least four (4) years management position in contingency logistics environment.




  • Must be able to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust Certificate




  • Must be able to be medically cleared to serve on contract.
