(AFG-Kabul) AFGHAN NATIONAL ARMY SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND GSU FACILITIES ENGINEER TRAINER


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


The primary goal of this program is to provide subject matter expertise and training support to assist Combined Security Transition Command Afghanistan (CSTC-A) and NATO Special Operations Component Command-Afghanistan (NSOCC-A) through Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan (SOTF-A) and Afghan National Army Special Operations Command-Special Operations Advisory Group (ANASOC-SOAG), in the execution of their mission. The mission is to train ANASOC units to perform their duties and responsibilities independent of Coalition assistance.


The Facilities Engineer Trainer shall train their counterparts to possess the skills to independently conduct the following tasks:



  • Fabricate / repair / maintain wood structures




  • Fabricate / repair / maintain concrete structures




  • Install / repair / maintain plumbing system




  • Install / repair / maintain electrical systems




  • Conduct fire prevention measures; develop a fire prevention program; conduct fire survival training; develop building emergency action plans; supervise fire prevention inspections




  • Maintain key control; establish a key control program; conduct semi-annual inspections




  • Basic Engineer Carpenter and Conservation Course




  • Generator and HVAC Training Plan




  • Before the selected individual is deployed he/she understands he/she will be processed through an Individual Deployment Site/CONUS Replacement Center (IDS/CRC).




  • Prior to deployments individual will read, and thoroughly understand the terms and conditions which he/she will be deployed and the expected field environment



MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:



  • The trainer will have at least 5 years of experience in military engineering




  • Rank E7 or higher, military occupational specialty of 21 series with experience in facility engineering fields to include carpentry, power generation, high voltage distribution, low voltage electrical systems, HVAC, and plumbing.




  • Minimum of three years’ experience mentoring/training and advising within Afghanistan and/or Muslim environment.




  • Must have a current DoD Secret security clearance.
