(AFG) G6 Trainer – Special Mission Wing (SMW)


Job Description: The G6 Trainer shall implement and operate programs, practices, and procedures for developing optimal utilization of personnel. Design and administer programs to train all levels of personnel. Develop tests and visual aids. Coordinate class arrangements, conduct training classes, and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Keep abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Develop programs and practices to identify developmental needs including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. If required, may use technical experts to assist in training. Monitor training and actively assists or provide direction as needed. Creating, maintaining and delivering to the ATP Program Manager all required reports. Provide to the ATP Program Manager required data/information for monthly performance review and training reports. Required Hours: Work may include nights, holidays, and weekends on short notice. Standard will be to conduct training six (6) days per week for up to twelve (12) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s) and a standard 40 hour work week while at CONUS work sites. Responsibilities: ·Be responsible for support training as well as train sustainment procedures using ANA signal practices ·Will report to the Site Lead, as well as the Program Manager located at Camps Morehead & Integrity ·Be responsible for regularly interacting with US military personnel ·Along with their local site managers, trainer will be responsible for assessing how well the ANA students have learned the coursework. ·Provide guidance and direction in the development of a comprehensive Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4I) infrastructure. ·Shall develop communication plans; conduct requirements analysis; identify electronic equipment requirement needs; develop signal estimate; design a communications network diagram; develop the Signal Annex of an Operations Order; establish communications network; employ communications infrastructure (radios, antenna, power generation, etc.); perform frequency management; identify communications vulnerabilities; employ signal security; conduct electronic protection; assist in location of Tactical Operational Center (TOC); account for and manage communications equipment; perform local repair of communications equipment; order communications equipment; prepare communications equipment for repair; manage tactical information; store and process relevant information; manage Program of Instruction (POI) for communication classes; execute Command & Signal Operations; maintain effective VHF, HF and Thuraya communications; maintain SOI with frequency, encryption, decryption, authentication and password table; maintain automations architecture and replacement upgrade plan; enforce COMSEC SOP; maintain communications with operational units in the field using secure communications; maintain communications contingency plan. Required Qualifications: ·Six (6) years of related experience to include appropriate level of experience working with Information Technology systems and communications officer experience at the division level or higher in a supervisory role. ·Familiarity with the ANA Decrees is a must ·Must be have a valid U.S. passport or U.S. Military ID. ·Must be able to obtain an interim DoD Secret security clearance prior to start · Must have a background in US military communications, appropriate level of experience in planning, establishing, and maintaining VHF and HF tactical and operational radio networks. · Must also have knowledge in portal management, knowledge management/database management, software development/coding, web base/data base development, HTML development, Microsoft Access experience. Physical Requirements/Working Environment: ·Include but are not limited to the wear of body armor and helmet Personal Protective Gear, unassisted lifting and carrying of duffle bags not exceed the weight of 70 lbs per piece, and the unassisted movement over uneven terrain. ·Must be willing to work and live in Afghanistan with an understanding that there could be further assignments to any location in Afghanistan based upon the needs of the U.S. Government, to include hostile and austere areas. ·Must be able to attend and pass USG deployment requirements at CONUS Replacement Center (CRC), Fort Bliss, Texas or equivalent location. ·Must meet the medical requirements for the position being offered as determined by a pre-employment medical screening and in accordance with published CRC and USCENTCOM medical deployment standards. ·Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to eight (8) hours per day and sit for up to three (3) hours per day. ·Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs. ·Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders. ·Must be able to read and interpret newspaper and typewritten print. ·Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear. ·Employee will be required to work and live in a potentially hostile environment, at remote locations, and under austere conditions. ·Employee may be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, under extreme weather conditions, within a hostile environment. ·The individual may be exposed to extreme noise from aircraft, hostile fire, and other acts of aggression associated with this region. Desired Qualifications: ·Prefer G6 Trainer with previous assignments in Infantry and Special Operations units, as well as time in Division level units. ·Prefer previous experience training and advising foreign military soldiers. ·Possess current DoD Secret security clearance eligibility Required Education: 6 Years, with related Bachelors degree. Or 4 years with related Masters degree. Or 2 years with related PhD. Eight (8) years of additional equivalent work experience (14 total years) may be accepted in lieu of BA/BS education requirement Contractor personnel shall comply with all theater command policies, regulations, and General Orders.
