Exercise Lead - CGI - Newport News, VA
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Basic Functions:The Exercise Lead accomplishes the following:
1. Synchronizes and integrates all aspects of exercise support provided by the TBOC including; liaison with the training unit and training support agencies, liaison with other TBOC training enablers, database construction, Comprehensive Look Team (CLT) intelligence products, and on-site exercise execution.
2. Participates in all exercise life cycle planning conferences for assigned exercises including conducting pre-planning conference VTC or Telecom meetings to refine training unit requirements.
3. Leads the exercise support team to accomplish the following:
a. Identify and build, based on input from the training audience and/or exercise support agency, the unit area of operation including operational graphics depicting major road networks, cities/towns, operating facilities, and boundaries.
b. Identify and pull data required to build a data base that will best replicate the area of operation and support the exercise training objectives.
c. Transform the data to fit the unit training area including the operational graphics, activity hot spots, and areas of interest in support of unit training objectives.
d. Conduct quality control of the transformed data to ensure accuracy and realism and to ensure discrepancies are identified and corrected.
e. Brief the results of the transformed data base to the exercise leadership.
4. Assist the TBOC CLT with building the intelligence products that support the training exercise using the transformed data base.
5. Lead the TBOC exercise support team during exercise execution to ensure the data base and intelligence products are presented to the training audience properly.
6. Lead the TBOC effort to assist the training exercise leadership with exercise scenario development and execute on-site changes required to the data base resulting from changes to the exercise scenario.
Position is located in Newport News, VA
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Background Requirements:
Former military with training/ground operations experience.
Exercise design, Scenario Management, MSEL synchronization, experience preferred.
Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree required.
8 years of military operational experience minimum, 10 plus years preferred.
OIF/OEF/OND experience preferred.
Willing and able to travel extensively (50-60%).
TS/SCI clearance is required
Valid passport is required
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
