Job Title HSE Supervisor
Job Description Supervises implementation of HSE programs, policies and subordinate personnel within assigned AOR. Provides HSE services to project/functional management. Performs necessary analysis, audits and investigations of all work sites to minimize the potential for injury or other loss. Uses independent
judgment in application of HSE procedures. Plans and executes the functions of a project HSE department, as assigned. Maintains records, reports, and documents to meet company and regulatory requirements. Assures timely investigations, inspections, and reporting of HSE matters.
Activities include but are not limited to risk identification and management, incident reporting and investigation, waste minimization, pollution prevention and control, various compliance activities and implementation of various aspects of management systems in all areas of HSE.
May supervise a team of employees, subcontractor and/or labor broker personnel, in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, including lifting and carrying 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure safety, health, and security measures within the contract are met, all employees shall be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).
Living conditions on the project are most likely austere. The most austere sleeping may be in environmentally conditioned tents on “Army type” cots. Restrooms and showers may be 250 feet or further from sleeping quarters. Laundry service for 15 pounds twice per week is commonly provided. Meals are provided at regular intervals in cafeteria or “dining facility” style environment. Living area will most likely have constant hum of generators or similar equipment nearby.

Basic Job Requirements Associate’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, and 7 years directly related experience is required. Professional registration or certification preferred.
Other Job Requirements Good computer and oral and written communication skills required, as well as good organizational abilities. Requires knowledge of Company HSE programs, policies, procedures and processes, as well as working knowledge of applicable military and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred.
