Job Description
SCOPE : THIS IS A PROPOSED POSITION AND AVAILABILITY OF POSITIONS WILL BE CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARDS. LOCATIONS OF PERFORMANCE WILL BE INTERNATIONAL AND PRIMARILY IN THE MIDDLE EAST (Iraq, Afghanistan) . SHORT-TERM AND LONG-TERM ASSIGNMENTS ARE AVAILABLE.
The Physician Assistant (PA) supports medical function and provides physician assistant services at post, including treatment of illnesses or minor injuries suffered during staff operations. The PA will stabilize and prepare sick and injured personnel to a higher level medical facility. The PA will ensure that medical kits supplied to all personnel and are maintained as to contents and serviceability. The PA reports to the Medical Operations Manager (stateside) in planning and implementing the medical support program (preventive and corrective) to maintain the health of contracted personnel. In addition, the PA coordinates the Medical Operations Manager in planning and implementing a program for the treatment of minor injuries suffered during daily operations and the stabilization and preparation for transport of injured personnel with sickness that warrants transfer to a higher level facility. The PA will coordinate with the Medical Operations Manager in evaluating the medical support being provided to the contractor personnel.

Required Experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a U.S. (state) licensed physician assistant and have NCCPA certification
Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience a physician assistant, experience in family medicine, emergency room and/or in direct support of military operation is a plus
Must have and maintain current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), and Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Must have a valid, current U.S. driver’s license
Must have a current U.S. tourist passport
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Must be able to clear a pre-deployment medical (including psych profile) and dental exam
All healthcare providers must have current clinical experience in direct patient care and have worked a minimum of 6 of the last 12 months in desired career field
