THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING Job Description: The Manager II, Computer Systems Analyst will be required to set up and maintain end to end connectivity for Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) may be used for classroom instruction, training, and data repository. Troubleshoot Mission Command closed network and classroom education network connectivity issues, system problems, implement corrective actions, and generate problem reports for transmittal to appropriate system proponents. Install new software versions or software patches, and ensure correct system configuration and operational status. Perform hardware problem diagnosis and repair/replacement of computer system components and provide OEM repair services. The Manager II, Computer Systems Analyst will create and build a database repository that tracks student progress of all training and training events. This system will have a timecard management system that can be queried to show daily and hourly attendance of training events. This system will track all training, On the Job Training (OJT) events, classroom training, and scheduled training. The database will have various query functions that allow the end user maximum data points and verification of information provided. The database will house all training plans for various different levels of training, and project length of training based on variables stored from previous data points. The candidate will find, document, and recommend solutions related to MCIS, process software improvements, hardware improvements, and organizational efficiencies. The candidate will provide LAN/WAN (unclassified) technical support and administration, hardware/software support, performance and fault management, network architecture planning, security and resource management support, development and administration, database design, and data management. The candidate will be required to identify changes necessary to upgrade network and make appropriate level /or support environment equipment and support tools and/or infrastructure. The candidate will be the Subject Matter Expert on the MCIS, and be available to assist the customer and program management in obtaining Requests for Information (RFIs) on various data points. The candidate will manage all information input into the database. Work Location: Kabul Air Wing, HKIA, Afghanistan Required Hours: Work may include nights, holidays, and weekends on short notice. Standard will be to conduct training six (6) days per week for up to twelve (10) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s) and a standard 40 hour work week while in CONUS. Responsibilities: Build and maintain Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS). Responsible for upkeep, configuration and reliable operation of multi-user computer system. Ensure the uptime, performance, resources, and security of MCIS meets the intent of the end users Responsible for the integrity of data input, and the efficiency and performance of the MCIS Answer technical queries and assist users Perform backups of the MCIS database Required Qualifications: Capable of planning, setting up, administering and maintaining MCIS and LANs that support instruction. Must also be capable of documenting system infrastructure and schematics. Thorough knowledge of the MCIS, and ability to diagnose and troubleshoot MCIS faults. The ability to remove and replace MCIS components, and install MCIS systems in their entirety. Provide system administration and data base coordination duties. Strong analytical, writing skills Strong MS Office Skills Experience/sensitivity with diverse cultures Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Experience preparing written correspondence and information products for staff. Excellent organizational and management skills. · Valid US Passport with at least 1 year validity · Must be able to obtain an Afghan visa · Must be able to obtain an interim DoD secret security clearance prior to start Desired Qualifications: Overseas experience · Previous experience training and advising foreign military soldiers · Possess current DoD Secret security clearance eligibility Required Education: · Bachelor’s degree from accredited school & eight (8) years of related experience, OR six (6) years related experience with Master’s degree. Eight (8) years of additional equivalent work experience (16 total years) may be accepted in lieu of BA/BS education requirement. Physical Requirements/Working Environment: · Include but are not limited to the wear of body armor and helmet Personal Protective Gear, unassisted lifting and carrying of duffle bags not exceed the weight of 70 lbs per piece, and the unassisted movement over uneven terrain. 83649
