Afghanistan: Project Manager, Girls Education Challenge (GEC)-Afghanistan
- Plan, execute and finalize project according to strict deadlines and within budget
- Supervise and monitor project progress and provide clear direction and ensure that staff knows what is expected to them.
- Acquire resources and coordinate efforts of team members in order to deliver project according to plan.
- Manage day to day operations of Project Management by facilitating professional work process.
- Manage risk register, including preparation and submission of a Risk management plan, and a risk action plan.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures across the department in order to get healthy and safety work environment.
- Prepare informative, timely and accurate technical activity reports from the field that will be incorporated into the overall project reports.
- Motivate the team to ensure that the team members work effectively to meet project objectives and ensure standard communication framework with the clients.
- Liaison with donor agencies, different stakeholders and the ministry.
Educational Requirements:Masters in related field. Professional degree in Education is preferable.
Additional Job Requirements:
- Need to have good understanding of current educational emergency and global commitment
- Need to have experience in monitoring and evaluation of education projects based on result framework.
- Should have excellent organization, planning and time management skills.
- Need to have experience in project management, particularly education projects funded by international donors such as DFID.
- Have to participate and represent BRAC Afghanistan in different meetings and forums organized by development partners Government and NGO.
- Fluency in English required with strong written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, and experience in people management
- Ability to work in a challenging environment with poor infrastructure and human capacities and difficult security conditions.
Salary Range: Negotiable
