Project Manager - Tribalco - Bethesda, MD





Tribalco has an immediate opening for a Project Manager to work as a full-time employee in Bethesda, MD. The ideal candidate must be a self starter that is highly motivated with the ability to effectively communicate with project stakeholders. An ideal candidate must also be able to develop budgets and project plans, supervise technical teams, manage projects in accordance with a pre-established project methodology, track budgets, risks, deliverables, and schedule, develop risk-mitigating strategies and manage overall performance. Candidates must be able to obtain US Security Clearance and are expected to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and OCONUS, specifically Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Korea, to support project needs on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities:


  • Provides proposal support including implementation schedule planning, project estimating, communication plan development and other initiating-phase documentation.

  • Assists in the management of multiple technical projects with various customers and project teams utilizing established project management methodologies and tools.

  • Proactively and consistently communicating internally and externally, to include status meetings

  • Provides input and develops supporting information for presentations to high ranking government officials.

  • Help foster and maintain relationships with partners and subcontractors on various projects.

  • Assists the Senior Project Manager in tracking all tasks associated with a project utilizing MS Project and in compliance with CMMI standards.

  • Assists in the management and determination of forecasted impacts of project risks and work with customer and project teams to develop risk mitigation strategies.

  • Assists the Senior Project Manager in ensuring projects are executed efficiently while maintaining the highest level of quality to meet overall customer satisfaction.

  • Provides input to track project budgets, monitor actuals and ensure that projects come in at or under proposed budgets.

  • Assists in the development of project budgets and estimates.

Specific Skills

  • 3 to 5 Years project management experience with contracts in excess of $1M (government contracting experience a plus)

  • Solid grammar and writing skills

  • Excellent verbal skills and demonstrated ability to quickly develop good relationships with both management and staff as well as customers

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • 5 + years experience managing complex technical projects in dynamic, evolving environments

  • Experience with the field installation of communications infrastructure

  • Knowledge of R56, ANSI, IEEE standards

  • 3 to 5 years- Experience with managing contractor

  • 3 to 5 years- Experience managing vendors

  • Proposal Experience a plus

  • Ability to effectively translate customer requirements into proposal and quote documents

  • Leverage both proven and innovative technology approaches to solve challenging business problems.

Other Requirements

  • Similar work experience in Southwest Asia and/or Korea

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Ability to effectively manage projects and coordinate activities with external partners

  • Analytical ability and decision-making skills

  • Demonstrate strong team work ability; focus on results, enabling businesses to operate more effectively

Education & Training

  • Minimum of 3+ years of project management experience, PMP certification a plus but not required.

  • 4 Year degree required. Post graduate degrees a plus.
