Materials Control Specialist I

Job Description Provides specialized technical and administrative services within the CIF. Supports operating a CIF with Direct Exchange (DX) service for designated OCIE. Assists management in ensuring project compliance with requirements contained in the LOGCAP IV contract. Assists in establishing, maintaining, and conducting processes for receipt, storage, and issue quantities utilizing the Army Information Management System (AIMS) for all CIF items.

Supports Runway Sweeping operations within assigned area of responsibility (AOR). Receives, stores, issues, inventories, and maintains the appropriate airfield maintenance supplies. Performs data entry functions for inventory management and accountability. Responsible for preparation and maintenance of airfield maintenance reports and daily mission logs.

Performs related administrative and other support functions as assigned.

Coordinates material requirements and delivery schedules with functional and project management; communicates status updates and change requests as required. Reviews work schedules, inventory levels, material requisitions and delivery status to ensure necessary supplies of material and supplies at supported locations when needed. Requisitions material and establishes sequential deliver dates, according to priorities and material availability. Examines material delivered to verify conformance to specifications.

Basic Job Requirements – High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and three (3) years related experience required.

Preferred Qualifications – Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred.
