Electrician Maintenance Sr Spe - Lockheed Martin - Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
This position is identified as Strategic Review – Aligned to IS & GS.
Position is located in Afghanistan: Electronic Technician, Intermediate is responsible for performing maintenance and sustainment activities for the Primary Mission Equipment (PME) and Mission Equipment Packages (MEP), and Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) systems and subsystems. The primary focus of this position will be to maintain system Operational Availability and ensure that information can be collected in the field utilizing the appropriate sensors. This position performs daily inspections and troubleshooting/maintenance of systems.
‘Sample Description of Work Performed: Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring systems. Interpret and apply knowledge of building plans, blueprints and wiring diagrams. Knowledge of national and local electrical codes and have the ability to use a wide variety of test equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters and ohmmeters.
Basic Qualifications Education Level: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum Years of Experience: 6 years experience with the testing of electronic equipment
NACI required prior to deployment and within 30 days of start date.
Valid passport for at least 3 years.
Ability to read, write and speak English
Familiarly with basic computer skills
Must be able to meet CENTCOM CRC medical minimum standards
Must be able to meet deployment training minimum standards
Must be able to work with customers and subcontractors in a professional manner
Desired skills Ability to multi-task in a complex and austere environment
Experience as part of an overseas military contingency deployment or in Afghanistan
Degree in (Preferred): Computer Science or other Scientific Technical Discipline
